Challenge: This challenge is "sight". Love at first sight? Seeing an old flame again after a long time? Looking at someone as if for the first time and realizing... they're your man? Or even looking at someone with regret, or dislike, knowing that things can't be good, or ever be the same again. Let your imaginations fly, my pretties, fly!
Nick sits in the truck and steels himself to enter the house. He doesn’t know exactly what he’ll find inside-he never does-but entering the crime scene isn’t what’s bothering him. His job is the least of his concerns. His thoughts, as always, are for one person. He closes his eyes so he can picture his lover...
The way Gil looks when he smiles-that warm open smile that hardly anyone but Nick gets to see. The way his eyes crinkle at the corners when he laughs at one of Nick‘s jokes.. The way he looks when he’s trembling with need as Nick rides him or writhes under him. All these sights of his very private lover that no one else ever sees. Nick gets to see Gil in a way that no else ever does and he’s so awed by that fact that he can take anything.
NIck opens his eyes and sighs. He’s ready for it now. He can handle walking into that house and having Gil look at him and smile impersonally. He can handle having Gil look right through him in that way that says that Nick is nothing so that no one suspects that he’s Gil’s everything.
