100 word drabble
This could be any male with any manpire.
Sounds of Silence
I'm used to the quiet now. Silence blankets the room like a shroud. The only thing I can hear is my own heartbeat. For a moment I think I'm alone, but then the bed shifts under his weight, reminding me he’s still here.
Sighing, I crawl across the silk sheets until I'm lying on his chest. My ear is directly above his heart, and yet I can hear no sound. There is no rise and fall; just muscles moving while he sleeps. He's dreaming of the past again, I can always tell. I know he’s dreaming of whom he lost.

Lovely line, espeically considering what the final one is. And yes, a vampire really would be silent when asleep. Actually kinda eerie, a feeling very nicely captured here. Well done! :)
