Pairing: Xander/Spike
Rating: PG
Words: 200
Something didn’t feel right. Xander was returning from work and nearing his house. He could see the windows and the lack of light in them puzzled him. The sun was already down so it was completely possible that the vampire had already left for his nightly run. Xander just had thought that they would spend this night together. He tried to smother the small tinge of disappointment. Spike was over 100 years old demon. You couldn’t expect him to remember something as insignificant as their first anniversary. It looked like Xander was going to have a lonely night just by himself and with a microwave meal.
Xander stopped for a while outside the door. For some reason he didn’t want to enter the empty apartment. Finally he took a deep breath and opened the door. The sight that greeted him was a surprise. There was a table set for two in the middle of the room with steaming plates of food on it. The room was lighted with only candles. The most surprising sight was Spike standing beside the table. The vampire was wearing skin tight black jeans and a blood red silk shirt that hugged him.
