“You really do look terrible, Zel-chan.”

Groan.

“I told you that eating that wouldn’t be a good idea.”

“Everyone else did, too.”

“Yes, but ‘everyone else’ was Lina-san and Gourry-san. They’ll survive anything they eat, no matter how rotten it is.”

Groan.

“In fact, they’re off eating dinner right now. Triple-portion, full course meal with beef and chicken, all smothered in some sort of green paste.”

Wretching.

“Really Zel-chan, I didn’t think there would be anything left in your stomach by now.”

“I hate you.”

“I know. Here, rinse your mouth.”

Gargle. Spit.

“Try drinking some water now.”

“No, no, no, no, no.”

“You’re going to get dehydrated, and you’re bad off enough as it is. You don’t want to feel worse, do you?”

Grumble. Swallow. Groan.

“There now, isn’t that better?”

“Just don’t talk about food for a while.”

“Would I do that to you, Zel-chan?”

“Yes. Sadist.”

Chuckle.

“I feel awful.”

“You look it, too, remember?”

“You don’t have to stay here, you know. You could go bug Lina and Gourry.”

“I know.”

“So why are you here?”

“Sore wa himitsu desu.”

“I really hate you.”

Chuckle.

“You’re going to stay, though, aren’t you?”

“Of course.”

Pause. “Good.”
