The meal sat on the table, untouched. The candles had been extinguished, no longer casting their firelight on the scene that had been set for seduction.

 

Asleep on the couch, with the television on, Blair had pulled the afghan around his chest and made him self comfortable, he tried to wait for Jim to come home.

 

Jim hunched down before Blair, looking at him with love. He had to smile how Blair slept with his mouth open.

 

Reaching over to Blair's shoulder, he shook his lover awake.

 

"Sorry for being late, can you forgive me?" he asked.
