Title: Damp Grass
Fandom: M/K, X-Files
Rating: G
Words: 100
The greyish light settles on your shoulders. Your hand touches the fog, traces the outlines of his face. He never talks - questions, so many questions you meant to ask - he never answers - you have given up now. There is only the silence of the wind in the trees, the damp grass beneath the naked soles of your feet. The night lies like a heavy cloak draped over your shoulder to keep you there, keep you warm, keep you together. The moon sends a sliver of light over his face. Then his face dissolves into the fog. Gone.
