Hey? You know, I LOVE this community! I really do! I continue to find drabbles such a wonderful form of writing. Plus there's something both relaxing and challenging about playing around and tweaking until you can get a drabble to just the right amount of words. Not to mention that I feel so accomplished when I finally manage to post a drabble at a community!
No, I really didn't plan to go 'angsty S.W.A.T.' yet again, but what can I say? This topic just screamed for it! LOL. (I actually wrote a "King Arthur" drabble recently and had thought I might write that. So much for good intentions... ROFL.)

~It Hurts~
Brian Gamble strode angrily away, leaving behind a stunned Jim Street. The brief conflict had managed to abruptly end both their partnership and friendship.
Shards of glass fell from Street's hair as he shut his locker. By rights he could have left, but he'd said he was staying; he'd stick out the final hours of his work day.
Numb from the confrontation, Street didn't bother reaching up to finger his throbbing head where Gamble had smashed him into the mirror.
"Jeez, what's wrong, Street?" he heard McCabe ask.
"It hurts," Street replied. But he wasn't referring to his bleeding scalp...
