He let his hand dangle lazily off the edge of the bed, his arm draped across Angelus’s naked chest. He wiggled his fingers in and out of the dusty sunbeams, reveling in the warm tingle spreading slowly through his hand. He hummed a tune and moved his chin along the smooth skin beneath him.

Days like these — without the girls, without the bustling city of London, without a care — there was nothing that could raise William from his stupor. Life was fantastic. Hours could go by where he would simply close his eyes and listen. Breathing in, breathing out, listening the complete unimportance of the act, to every sound around him. He laughed often. He smiled always. And all that time, he did nothing. And nothing could make him do anything.

Angelus’s hand twitched. William cracked a smile. Almost nothing.

He stopped his dance with the sunbeams and draped himself over the awakening vampire. He tangled his fingers in Angelus’s wild hair, spreading the warmth from the sun. He nudged Angelus’s sides with his knees and chuckled. “Gettin’ up then, yet?”

Angelus chuckled, turning his head further into the pillow. “Can’t you tell, boyo?”

William pressed their bodies closer, leaning over to drag his lips across the smooth skin of Angelus’s chest. “Hm. Would you look at that. A quick riser, you are.”

“With a wakeup call like you, I have something to look forward to.”

William grunted his agreement, nipping gently along an inviting collarbone.

“What d'ya want ta do tonight?”

“Nothing.”

“Nothin'?”

“Nope.”

“You’re lazy, boyo. You never want to do anythin'.”

“Maybe I like doing nothing.” William smirked, pausing a hair’s breadth away from Angelus’s lips.

“It has its good points.” Angelus agreed, running his hands across William’s back and catching those inviting lips in a kiss.
