Percy cast a silencing charm on himself before entering the office on tiptoes. Taking a few seconds to orientate himself in the dark, he set down his bag onto the nearby desk and took off his shoes and cloak. His robes followed, and, retrieving his wand from his sleeve, he pointed it to the makeshift bed, enlarging it so that it could accommodate two people. Augustus shifted in his sleep. He was so busy dealing with that epidemic that he didn’t allow himself to come back home at night, preferring to crash onto his sofa for too few hours of sleep.
Percy sat noiselessly on the edge of the sofa, and Augustus opened his eyes. “What? Be there in a minute…” he muttered, before Percy’s hand cupped his cheek. “Shhhh… it’s only me, it’s Percy,” whispered the young man. “Make room for me?”
Augustus opened his arms, and Percy snuggled comfortably against the Healer’s chest. “Missed you last night,” Percy confessed, wrapping them both in the blanket.
Augustus’ arms held him tighter. “I missed you too,” he replied sleepily.
“I’m there now,” Percy simply said. “Now get some rest, you need it.”
Augustus hummed his assent, already falling back asleep.
