There are some days she feels she doesn’t deserve to smile each morning, to wake up with someone who loves her nestled beside her, and the trust that's implicit in the gesture.

She is too wicked, too evil. She is not good enough, too plain. Her lover deserves better.

Then, on those same days, when Willow’s eyes flutter open, when she snorts awake and stretches in place, following with a sleeping “G’mornin’” and pressing a soft kiss to the tip of her nose, Tara sweeps away the vestigial voices from her days long past.

She deserves every moment of this.
