As a boy, he harbored loving respect for the elder veterinarian, while passionate love burned in his heart. As a young man, he grappled with the hatred of his sister’s killer and the wistful hope things would turn right. As a soldier, he’d been recruited for war just as he'd lost his ability to fight. His life had always been change and contradiction, but never confusion:
His name was Subaru (now Seishiro.) He belonged to the Sumeragi clan (now Sakurazukamori.) He was a Dragon of Heaven (now a Dragon of Earth.) And he had not heard wrong. Seishiro loved him.
