“Aren’t you going to open the box?” Napoleon, glowing with eagerness, was bouncing up-and-down on his toes.
Illya looked at the present. It was small like a jeweler’s box. He shook it a little and thn he looked at his lover. “But what is the occasion?”
Napoleon’s eyebrows rose. “You don’t remember?” He seemed disappointed.
Illya knew he was forgetting something important. To stall while he searched his memory, Illya opened the gift. Inside was a simple gold ring.
He smiled brilliantly at his partner. “Yes. Ten years ago today we became lovers.” Then he thoroughly kissed the other man.
