Holy Crap

Water hits him in the face. He closes his eyes and mouth in time but it goes up his nose. With a long-suffering sigh he wipes his face on his sleeve.
“Dude.”
His brother shrugs, at least looking apologetic even if he doesn’t say sorry. “Just testing.”
“I’m me.”
“Good. Really.” Sam smirks, wondering if he really means it. The demon didn’t harm them, just revealed a few home truths. “Listen... we should....”
He knows what’s coming next. “We’ll talk later.” He squeezes Dean’s shoulder. “I need a beer.” He wants to know what happens when it’s alcohol guiding them.
