Tony knew so many of the people who were interested in dating him were less interested in “Tony, the NCIS Special Agent” and more interested in “Tony, the rich man’s son.” It made him feel he wasn’t being asked “Show me a fun time,” but instead, “Show me the money.”

Which was one of the reasons he loved Gibbs; Gibbs didn’t care about wealth. It didn’t matter how much Tony’s family was worth – Gibbs loved him as he was. The only way he’d love Tony more would be if Tony figured out a way to smell perpetually like wood shavings.
