Title: Messages
Fandom: Hellsing (The Dawn)
Pairing: Alucard/Young Walter
Rating: PG-13
Words: 300
Summary: Walter concentrates on the radio. Alucard concentrates on Walter.
Warnings: Contains references to violence. Since this is set during the war Walter is a teen and presumably underage here (depending on the age you measure by...) but this is one-sided lust on Alucard's part.
Note: This would be "Girlycard" but I think of him as essentially male-identified.
Walter listens to the radio, head tilted slightly, eyes half-closed. He's listening to the code, translating it in his head.
Alucard stares in fascination. A human barely grown, and here he can do something Alucard can't. The vampire can speak several languages and he knows Walter envies that. But as for the intricacies of human coding, language turned into electric pulses, that comes much more easily to the thin dark creature crouched on the floor before him.
"Is this important?" Alucard asks.
Walter arches his back and throws his body into a prone position on the floor. Alucard deeply appreciates his close scrutiny of this sight though his face shows almost nothing.
"It's important to me," Walter replies in his inevitably cheeky voice.
"Are we fighting today?" Alucard persists.
"Not officially..." Walter replies. He's reaching for the wires, endlessly amused by his ability to cut Alucard into slices.
"Perhaps that's not quite the kind of fight I want," Alucard replies. He reaches out one gloved hand and traces a finger down the side of Walter's neck.
As always, Walter bats Alucard's hand away. As a vampire and a human, Alucard has killed men for less. Walter knows it, and he must know Alucard could destroy him. It's only Hellsing that prevents Alucard from making Walter bleed out on the floor right now. That, and the suspicion that it just might be more trouble than it's worth.
Alucard takes just a moment to consider other, non-lethal things he could do to this young man with his own hands and tongue, then grins. Walter stares at him in contempt as if he knows exactly what Alucard is thinking, and he probably does.
The servant is a warrior, Alucard thinks, and one that could put up a real fight. And someday, he will.
