"Mistake" drabble - 100 words - Spike/a surprise



Bad boy

A beautiful network of red lines runs haphazardly across the wonderfully pale rear. Such a pity that the marks won’t last long – the only drawback.

He puts out a hand and pets the abused flesh, feeling the raw, raised welts underneath his palm.

Then Spike says the name and it hangs heavy in the air, like a particularly fetid turd.

Neither one speaks nor moves initially - for both are appalled and shocked at the mistake.

Young Mr Harris is going to be in so much trouble back at school on Monday morning.

God, it’s good to be the principal.
