Suspense filled him, making his groin ache with its pulsating, burning need. He’d been tracking his prey for days, and he was finally closing in on him in this little bar just outside of Canada. Logan’s back was to him, the fringes on his brown, suede jacket swaying slightly as he made his move on the pool game.

Vic heard a sound and didn’t realize it was rumbling from his own throat until he saw the boys with whom Logan was playing pale and go running. One even screamed like a girl, prompting Vic to grin a feral, nasty grin that scattered several more of the bar’s customers. Logan turned to greet him, his fangs showing in his wide grin. “‘Bout time.”

Their eyes locked. In that moment, all of Victor’s questions, which had also been burning inside of him, were answered. Logan had known the entire time he was being followed. He’d wanted him to come after him. Time might keep on turning, and the years might have changed everything around them as they passed, but he and Logan stayed the same, the only two of their kind.

The savage growl Victor unleashed rattled the windows and walls and sent the other patrons and workers alike running for their lives. He leapt across the barroom, and Logan leapt to meet him, his claws and lips just as ready as Victor’s. They tumbled together, kissing and scratching with more passion than normal men would ever known.

They came down hard. Victor was on top, then Logan. Each of them struggled for dominance, but Victor already knew it wouldn’t really matter who won. They had both already won. They had each other again at long last. They had the only one who could ever match them for passion, for power, for strength, even for that little thing Victor had once called love.

Their roars threatened to bring down the building around them, but neither cared. Even if it fell, they’d keep fighting, keep fucking until they had nothing left. Vic’s grin widened as he tasted Logan’s blood. That would be a long time coming. It could be weeks, even months. As for as Victor was concerned, it could take the rest of their lives to come. He’d happily stay right here with Logan in this little bar, or whatever was left of it, fighting and screwing until the end of time.
