So, he’d lost an eye. It wasn’t that bad, really. Eye-patches were cool, afterall. They made him feel like a spy, or a pirate. And if he was a pirate, then maybe he could be Johnny Depp. But Jack Sparrow -- Captain, that is --had two eyes. And depth perception. Good old depth perception, how he missed it.
Actually, loosing an eye sucked hardcore. But he would laugh about it. He would *make* himself laugh about it. Think about it. Dwell on it, even, if that’s what it took.
Thinking about loosing his eye was better than thinking about loosing Spike.
