Talking to

It’s feather-light, not exactly unpleasant in feel, almost but not quite restraining him. He shifts position, the sheets cool under his naked back; blankets rucked at his feet.

“Lie still.”

The command is quiet, and he obeys immediately. Wonders when this stopped being a game, when he lost the desire to laugh at his situation. Or cry. He opens his mouth, but a warm hand presses gossamer silk to his lips.

“Not yet.”

Achingly gentle fingers caress his scar, and the scarf is removed.

Giles leans over him, eyes dark with unexplained fury. “Now tell me what Angel did to you.”

Ooooh...

Oh, this is lovely and angsty and with a delicious hint of darkness. Wonderfully simple and sparse with words, yet still powerful. That final line; Gile's look and words... just wonderful. Well done! :)
