Auditory Recognition Spider-man/Daredevil 300 words.
This was difficult to write, if I wasn't so darned stubborn I would have given up. I hope y'all like.
Auditory Recognition
Peter found himself perched on one of the eagles on the Chrysler Building and closed his eyes, trying to understand how Matt saw the city.
Things were going good between them. Matt was the first guy he’d ever thought about in a sexual way, but it was so much easier than with MJ or Gwen. Maybe because it was a guy/guy thing, no need to worry about hurting anyone’s feelings if you didn’t notice new shoes or a different hairstyle.
More likely though it was because Matt knew about Spider-man, and he knew Daredevil. It was easy because there was no need to hide, to make stupid excuses. He could be himself and not worry. That made Peter feel so liberated he just wanted to fly.
They did some nights. Patrolling parts of Manhattan together, swinging from building to building and it was a freedom and a joy he never thought he’d have.
Tonight though he was alone and he found himself high above the streets trying to understand Daredevil.
He sat back he could hear the sound of traffic, car horns, trucks, busses. It was amazing to him that this was how Matt saw the world. Sure he had that neat echo thing going on for him, but still sound was the way he made his way through the world.
He knew Daredevil could hear someone’s heartbeat, tell if they were lying by the rhythm, but to just walk down the street must be overwhelming at times.
He heard someone scream and opened his eyes. With a flick of his wrist he was flying over the rooftops to save some woman from being mugged by four guys. In the back of his mind though he made a mental note to remind Matt just how special Peter thought he was.
