Lost Drabble - 200 Words - Enterprise, Malcolm/Trip
Fandom: Star Trek: Enterprise
Pairing: Malcolm/Trip
“We’re what?”
“You heard me.”
“How can we be lost?”
Malcolm glared at Trip. “Because our sensors are offline and, as I told you, ‘look out the window’ isn’t an effective method of navigation.”
Trip sulked. “Worked last time.”
“We had something to go on last time!” Malcolm snapped. “This time we had no clusters, no anomalies, no planets, or asteroids, or anything else. We had nothing to go on, but you demanded that we move anyway, and now, we’re lost.”
“You’re lovin’ this, aren’t you?” Trip frowned and Malcolm rolled his eyes.
“Oh yes, I’m certainly loving this. The fact that I’m lost in the middle of space, stuck alone, with you, in a Shuttlepod, for an indeterminate amount of time, again.”
“I meant the fact that you were right.” Trip sighed and dropped down into one of the chairs. “At least we have oxygen and heat this time.”
Malcolm closed his eyes and silently prayed that the words wouldn’t be taken as a jinx.
“And it’s not so bad,” Trip continued, “being trapped with you.”
Looked over at Trip, who was now looking at his feet, which were scuffing at the floor, Malcolm smiled. “No, it isn’t.”

“We’re what?”
