Title: Tattoo
Fandom: Moon Child
Author: Diyin
Pairing: Kei/Sho
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 200
Summary: Sho longed to touch it.
Sho was always obsessed with the tattoo on Kei's back. Wings. It took a year of knowing Kei before Sho had the courage to ask about it.
"It's from before..." Kei said softly, pulling on a shirt.
"Did it hurt?" Sho asked softly.
Kei wouldn't look at him. "I don't remember." Kei answered, voice sad. Old sounding.
Sho didn't mention it again, for years. But he studied the tattoo when he could. The little bits that were visible when he wore a sleeveless shirt. During the rare times Kei was shirtless around them, Sho would stare openly at it. Sho longed to touch it.
He didn't get his wish for years, until the day they lay naked beside each other, Kei on his stomach. Sho was still breathless, laying on his side facing Kei, one finger absently tracing over the black ink on Kei's skin.
"You're still an angel to me." Sho whispered. A rare moment for him. Sho never saw the world in metaphors. And he didn't go romantic with people.
Kei looked at him for a long moment, then shook his head. But Sho was graced with a rare, real smile from his friend, his angel in disguise.
