Drabble #1 for this week's challenge

I wrote a series of drabbles that continue the story from my Dark Surprises series, or which the last chapter was posted today. I'm going to post them one by one here and here is the first.

Xander had been back with Spike for a few weeks. One night they were already laying on the bed and Spike was drawing pictures all over Xander’s stomach. It tickled a little and Xander tried to squirm away. Then Spike concentrated on the area over Xander’s hipbone.

"Pet, what would you think about a tattoo here?"

"Master, what do you mean?"

"I know you are already carrying my mark on your neck but I would like you to have a tattoo too. Something that would show who you belong to. Nothing big, just a small one here."

"Master, I’ve never thought about getting tattoos, but if you wish we can get something for me. Will I have anything to say about the design?"

"Of course, pet. We can go together and see some pictures and make the decision then."

After a few days they were at a tattoo parlour in the city looking through some pictures. Quite easily they reached understanding and only about an hour later Spike walked out of the parlour with a brand new tattoo tattooed over his hipbone. The design was a railroad spike with a few drops of blood at the tip. Xander loved it.
