James had heard all the excuses a dozen or more times. Does he know what could happen if they were caught? Their careers could spiral down the drain. The people they've known and loved and worked with for years - years in HIS case - might be so disgusted that performances would suffer. Not to mention that his marriage would be ruined, his son kept away from him, and he know what the felt like, didn't he?
So when Dave starts up again - no, we can't do this now, not here, you can wait until we're done and back at your place, can't you baby? - he just pulls him into another kiss. No, they weren't going to get caught. It was tomorrow that Chris was going to accidentally stumble in as they made love. And, hopefully, seeing someone not freak out would lessen his fears a little and they could stop sneaking around and James wouldn't have to try so hard to get him to lose control every day. Or, he would break it off, too paranoid that more people would find out, back to posing with his perfect little family. And it would be his loss, because James could move on without a problem.
