This week, we're starting a five-week arc of "The Senses".

This challenge is "sight". Love at first sight? Seeing an old flame again after a long time? Looking at someone as if for the first time and realizing... they're your man? Or even looking at someone with regret, or dislike, knowing that things can't be good, or ever be the same again. Let your imaginations fly, my pretties, fly!

Xander had been hurt many times before. You can’t live on a Hellmouth, helping the Slayer fight baddies without picking up your share of battle scars.

Most of the time the injuries were nothing to brag about. Small cuts, scrapes. A few mild contusions.

Then there were the more serious ones. Concussions, cracked ribs, twisted wrists, ankles, the occasional thrown knee. Hurt like hell and took a while to heal but nothing to worry about.

But this time, taking in the sight of absolute terror and despair on his lover’s face, he knew. This would be the one that mattered.
