It went a bit over the 100 words for the drabble, but I like the imagery just as it is...

Quiet Man )
For the [livejournal.com profile] slashthedrabble "senses" prompt. Week 2 – sound.

Whhhheeee – still having so much fun! "Corrupter of Words" is courtesy Mr Shakespeare – something the Fool says in "Twelfth Night." Saw it last summer and flashed vividly onto our boy and have been patiently waiting for something to go with it. "When It All Comes Down to Dust" is a lyric from yet another Leonard Cohen song – relevant part quoted at end of story (for those who might be interested).

Title: One Sound
Author: Nicholas
Pairing: Max/Horst // BENT
Rating: G
Words: 100
Notes: A rather unusual pairing I suppose and that pairing probably doesn't speak to those who have not seen that film – and even if you have seen it you might not feel the same, but – oh well – I gave it a try. So this is some sort of – missing scene – I suppose.

Title: Not Even a Cricket
Author: [livejournal.com profile] alias_lilacgirl
Pairing: Ats Gunn/Wesley
Rating: PG

Gunn lied awake in their sleeping bag. It wasn't the mysterious rustling of a tree, wondering if it was a bear. It wasn't the shuffling of the dirt, afraid it was a snake. It wasn't even the crushing steps of a murder with a chainsaw that was keeping him up. It was the lack of any sound.

He never left the city. Even in the dead of night, there's still noise, the sound of cars, the fair away wail of a siren, the soft whispers of a neighbor's TV. But out in nature, it was quiet and driving him mad.
This does not conform to any sort of word count. I tried, but it just
wasn't happening for me today. If that's bad, let me know and I'll
delete them. I wanted to post them here in case anyone is following
the story, though.

Written for [livejournal.com profile] slashthedrabble "sound" challenge and [livejournal.com profile] elizabuffy who has a certain pairing she likes. RPS is fun wrong, and twincest is even more fun just disgusting. Yes, it is! ;^) Actually, I'm mostly challenging myself to try something new...so w/o further ado, I present:

This is more about hearing something you really don't want to know about... and it's mostly [livejournal.com profile] lonelybrit's fault.

TITLE: His Father's Voice
RATING: PG13
PAIRING: Not Wesley, anyway.
NOTES: Title and lj cut quote from "My Father" by Michael Dwinell.

For all that is broken with fathers and sons; and with this father and this son; that voice, it comforts me, and cradles my core. )
I'm going to post this here, because I find it very amusing, and the fridge is male. Thus making it slashy. *giggles* I can always remove it if people want me to. It doesn't apply to this week's theme, unless the humming counts as sounds.

He did it every day, furtively under the covers or downstairs. He had to. Watching them all night, the way their bodies moved to music only they could hear, the pressure built inside him until he thought he would burst with it.

Drusilla. Dark goddess. His salvation.

Darla. Exquisite as a porcelain doll. Cold as the grave.

Angelus. Master, mentor. Alpha and omega.

Tightening his hand around the hardess it enclosed, he began to move. Slow even strokes that sped up as images burned into his brain. The only sound being the scratch of inked pen on best quality paper.
