My first effort here. LOL.
For the 'Fairy Tales' challenge. 100 word drabble.

Title: "No Fairy Tale" (100 words)
Author: Brian Gamble (brn_gamble)
Email address: brn_gamble_at_yahoo.com (brn_gamble@yahoo.com)
Feedback: Appreciated.
Fandom: "S.W.A.T." (the 2003 movie, plus book)
Pairing: Brian Gamble/Jim Street (as portrayed by Jeremy Renner and Colin Farrell)
Date: May 12, 2005
Archive: GAMBLE-STREET -- http://www.geocities.com/jim_and_brian/
Disclaimer: Whether RP (real people) or characters, this is totally based on my own daydreams and fantasies. I don't claim to own anything, nor do I profit from writing and sharing fanfic.
Beta: None.
Warnings: Slash (male/male).
Author notes: I remain amazed by how much a person can say in only 100 words. I love drabble challenges. If you're familiar with "S.W.A.T" (the movie and book), then you know there's a very slashy pair in Brian and Jim. Brian leaves S.W.A.T. and L.A.P.D. after he and Jim have a big fight. (I won't say more for those who haven't seen the movie and might still want to...) Anyway, there's a ton of subtext there. Or so my husband and I believe! LOL. My first effort for 'slashthedrabble' at LiveJournal: http://www.livejournal.com/community/slashthedrabble/
~No Fairy Tale~
"Wait up, Brian! I'm coming with you!"
Brian stopped, pivoting to face a grinning Jim.
"Seriously?" Brian breathed.
"Yeah." Jim's dark eyes were dancing.
Brian opened his arms and Jim pressed close. They embraced, shared a kiss and both began to laugh. It was a joyous moment.
Brian shut then opened his eyes, staring wearily around him. There was no Jim anywhere in sight. He was walking away from the precinct alone; walking away from both S.W.A.T. and his partner.
"It was just a fairy tale," he whispered, shaking off the moment. There'd be no 'happily ever after' this time...
~end~

Yeah.
I've no clue why I'm attracted to angsty Gamble/Street, seeing as I LOVE to see them end up 'happily ever after'! LOL.

That's Gamble. He gets all sentimental for a minute, then he moves on. He's a hard dude -- or he's trying to be.
From:
You Got IT!
Yeah, probably not as hard as he tries to be...
