Another ficlet for slashthedrabble #42 'It Hurts'

I blame the good writers at slashthedrabble - you guys MADE me do it! Bwhahahaha!!!!

Title: Under the Abyss
Pairings: Jack/Ba'al (with some Daniel thrown in)
Rating: R
Wordcount: 278


He shivered as another lancing arc of pain shuddered through his body, the soft murmurs of the System Lord from behind him, just a blare of white noise to his ears.

He fought to focus on the shadow of light in front of him, unsure whether or not he was still hallucinating - but he had to be, didn't he?

Another thrust, a clank of chains, a soft gasp and guttural moan. Jack himself stayed silent. He was overcome with the sheer hopelessness of it all - it would never get better.

Never...

And after this...another round in the sarc, then this - all over again.

So, he focused on the blur that was Daniel and started to speak, not even aware that he was doing so, but it was enough to stop Ba'al for a second.

If only a short second.

"It hurts, Daniel. It hurts...Let me die. Let me..."

Another shuddering spasm and clacking smack of chains, before he slumped, half-dead already.

Ba'al pulled out and fussily cleaned himself, before calling for the Jaffa.

"Another day in the sarcophagus should repair him. I don't think I'll be able to keep my pet much longer though." He frowned at the chains, ignoring the blood that spattered the walls. "He is still hallucinating. Ah well..."

The guards complied without a word, unhooking Jack's limp form from the manacles, to carry him back to the sarcophagus - to prepare him for another round of this.

Then another, then another -

Daniel wept openly from his vantage point across the room, unheard, unheeded - he was, after all essentially dead. He wept, and wondered if next time, he would give in.

If next time, he would cross that line and give Jack the death he wished for.

And he wondered if easing Jack's pain by giving in, would hurt more than the agony he was left with now, here, under the Abyss.

Oh my then I'm afraind of your good stuff....this was great! I'm not familar with this fandom but it was so gut wrenching...gawd!

LOL! Thanks! I will accept that as a compliment - if you read my first drabble, ever (posted a few days ago) you'll see what I mean, though... But hey, in a rush and had to get it down... Jack and Danny angst is always good for the soul... Well, mine anyway - their's - I'm not so sure about... They have a tendency to come out slightly...mangled...when I get done with them!

Stargate - SG-1... Don't worry, I see a coupla fandoms here I don't see normally, and some of them make me go -huh? Like I don't do, TS - but I know what it is, and know the characters (somewhat) and I enjoy reading what the fanficers put out... I'm not insulted or offended - quite the opposite - I hope you will explore this fandom yourself - then I can tally a new person to my DarkSide - bwhahahahahahaaa!!!!

Trust me from the Second Season (First was kinda shaky - watch the rest before you watch the first) to Now, is great! My favs are 3,4,5 and yes, even six! Give it a shot - it's well worth the time! RDA is a total hottie, and Michael Shanks is a damn cutie too - and their characters are INTENSE! Sorry... Steppin off the soapbox now...

Will do! LOL! Someone told me about the word counts, and I went kinda crazy and counted every last one! I am a total, total anal retentive (and what's scary is, that I can admit that!) I have a tendency to write BIG, so most of my stuff will probaby be over 300 or more... *Headdesk*

Thanks for the FB - though I still think it's not my best... My first drabbles made me happy, but this one begged to be written (and out of no-where, too!) and seeing as I had to go to work... Well, it's J/D - so, I am happy with it to that extnet, and maybe if I'd had more time, it still wouldn't have turned out the way I wanted... But, hey - if the masses like it! Thnaks for the FB - sorry about the rabbling, just got home from work... Kisses!

Was (and still is) one of my favorite episodes of the series - shoot...maybe of EVER. Jack was my Dean then - and I still hold massive Jack love in my heart. He was another one that could take a licking and keep in ticking. Unngghhhh...so much for to play with!

I could see this happening, you know? Ba'al's intentions were hinted at - and how many times did he kill Jack? *Whew* He'd always had an unhealthy obsession with O'Neill, too...bordering on sexual depravity. Just felt I should take it a step further. *Chuckles*

Wow - I had forgotten about this - and how much I loved it! And I've probably rambled on longer than the damned drabble itself, lol!!

Not familiar with the series, so I'm probably missing the full emotional impact. But you do write pain well. And the despair (of both Jack and Daniel) is still very palpable. I went from bouncy to quiet over the read and that's a compliment :)
