Opening Challenge #51 - 'Cross'

slashthedrabble is 'Cross'.
A crucifix? a hybrid? An intersection? Or is a British character is pissed off about something? Crossed purposes, crossed swords, crossroads. So many possible interpretations...
Drabbles of 100 words and ficlets of 200, 300, 400 and 500 words exactly are acceptable, and please use cut tags. Have fun!
