I had about eight plot bunnies pop in my head for [livejournal.com profile] slashthedrabble's challenge of Speed. These are the three I actually got written. My brain is so very weird.

Notes: This was the very first thing that popped into my head for the challenge of Speed at [livejournal.com profile] slashthedrabble. Shows where my brain is! LOL I also tried to think up of a less cheesy title but no going.

Slow Hand

When someone had a direct connection to the Speed Force, it was hard to slow down and take things at even twice the speed of regular people. Ever since that day in Barry's lab, Wally had found it hard to just take things at a normal pace. In the time it would take someone to walk from their front door to their car, he could run around the world five or six times and stop for gelato from his favorite stand in the Farmer's Market in Napoli or an espresso in Paris.

Most of the League thought he was, well, kind of ditzy. And maybe he was, in a way. Along with being able to run faster than the speed of sound, his abilities affected everything else in his life, including his thought patterns. He could be sitting there in a mission briefing, listening to Kal or John debate the JLA's version of the Prime Directive and he'd just get lost in his own thoughts. It seemed like it took the others forever to make up their minds, to make a plan and go through with it.

Maybe that is what had attracted him to Bats in the first place. For one thing, Batman seemed to realize that he wasn't stupid, he just thought differently. Faster. While the others would get the bullet point mission plans that had everything laid out for them, Batman would give him additional plans, maps and data about the villain of the week that must have taken him days to figure out. Complicated information that forced him to slow down and really think.

Now, though, Bats had other ways of making him take things slow. Silk cords tied him to the heavy mahogany bed—only the best for multi-millionaire Bruce Wayne--and a blindfold kept him from seeing just what it was his lover was doing. Oh, he could have sped up and vibrated through the cords, but that was part of the fun. Besides, he liked to save his vibrations for other things.

And he enjoyed the way Bruce forced him to slow down, driving him crazy trying to anticipate just where he'd kiss or touch. Soft caresses, made by calloused hands. How Bruce's tongue would trace out the scar along his abdomen from a stray bullet, how it would drive him to begging for more.

Oh yeah, sometimes slow...was very good.

Title: Fast Enough
Author: [livejournal.com profile] amejisuto
Fandom: Buffy tVS
Pairing: Spike/Xander
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG13
Disclaimer:Not mine, never will be. No harm, no foul, no money made.
Warnings/Squicks: None really.
Summary: Spike was fast enough to change a moment in Season Six.
Beta(s): Who else but [livejournal.com profile] kitty_poker1? LOL
Notes: YAY! I fixed an icky bit I didn't like!

Fast Enough

Spike had been too late to get Drusilla all to himself. That battle had been fought and won by Angelus long before his birth. He'd been too late to win the Slayer's heart, and too late to save her from falling to her death.

But this time, for the first time in over a hundred and twenty years, he was finally fast enough.

Spike lay in bed, his lover's dark head pillowed on his chest, and softly stroked the side of Xander's face and thanked whatever gods that might be listening for being quick enough to save his lover's eye.

Title: Flexibility
Author: [livejournal.com profile] amejisuto
Fandom: Highlander
Pairing: Ritchie/Methos
Word Count: 500
Rating: PG13
Disclaimer:Not mine, never will be. No harm, no foul, no money made.
Warnings/Squicks: None really, other than the fact that I have yet another fandom to read. I am so very dangerous. ;)
Summary: Ritchie decides to treat Methos as just an ordinary guy.
Beta(s): The wonderful and talented [livejournal.com profile] kitty_poker1 of course! Give her a hug! Suki and I keep her busy!
Notes: Yeah, I got nothing for here other than the fact that my brain scares me.

Flexibility

Ever since finding out just who exactly the Old Man was, Ritchie had been finding reasons to spar with him. Methos had been reluctant at first, thinking that Ritchie wanted to say he'd at least clashed swords with the oldest Immortal, but he'd finally convinced the Old Man that wasn't the reason.

The real reason, the one he'd never told Methos, was that he sort of felt sorry for the old guy, especially after that whole Kronos mess. Part of the time MacLeod treated Methos like crap for being one of the Four Horsemen, and the rest of the time was spent treating Methos like a mooch, which he was, or looking at him as if the man was going to spout out wisdom at the drop of a hat. Like Methos was some 5000 year old fortune cookie or something. Even Joe looked at him a bit differently every once in a while and you could see the sadness in Methos's face when it happened if you looked fast enough.

So Ritchie had sat down and thought about it. Despite being Immortal, he was still the youngest in the group and 5000 years was too much for him to comprehend. Instead of trying to understand, he just decided to get over it and treat Methos just like he wanted: as one of the guys.

Besides, it was hard to remember that your friend had been around before the pyramids when he was talking about motorcycles, or when they were watching a movie and the Old Man was making sarcastic comments about the amount of silicone the leading lady had been injected with.

Besides, Methos knew some wicked fighting tricks. The kind Mac would never have taught him since they weren't quite so ethical. Maybe it was his early upbringing of being a street rat, but Ritchie had seen plenty of other Immortals cheat. Not that he would, but if they did he would have a few tricks up his sleeve.

And for an Old Man, Methos could move damn fast. His speed with his sword didn't even compare to the speed of his thoughts. There were times Ritchie could swear the Old Man was thinking faster than some computers. And then the sparring would be over and Methos would sprawl on the couch with a beer and they'd be doing a slightly more mature version of Beavis and Butthead.

So maybe it shouldn't have been quite as much of a shock for Ritchie to wonder just how flexible Methos was. After their workouts there were times they'd both collapse to the ground, panting, and Ritchie noticed just how oddly handsome Methos could be.

He'd been with guys before, but had pretty much played it straight ever since Mac took him under his wing. Maybe it was time to get off the straight and narrow path, for once. Ritchie just wondered if Mac was going to have a litter of kittens or an entire cow at the thought.

Ooh, a lovely trio! I especially like Spike being thankful that he was fast enough with Xander. And Ritchie/Methos? *giggles* Lovely bunnies!

Tiny point - 'Beavis' ;)

Oh, I love them! I'm not familiar with JLA or very familiar with Highlander (though I'd love to be), but I felt like I really understood the characters anyway. You seem to really get under their skin and make them real. Very well done!

And Xander's eye? How sad and sweet and nice. He deserved to keep that damn eye!!! :)
