He had told them that, in the event of Ethan Rayne’s death, he was to be contacted. For security purposes, of course. He thought it just would’ve been a official letter announcing his passing. He never expected a personal card.

It was simply folded white computer paper. Just seeing his name scrawled on the front with pencil was enough to start the familiar ache in his heart. He opened the card and found only two words: Never forget.

Giles was thankful for the stiff upper lip Britain had given him. He closed the card, and poured two glasses of whiskey.

Thank you so much for reading.I finally got to write a Giles/Ethan piece! Yay!
I like to think that the mean people let Ethan write his own card to Rupes. They probably wouldn't have, but then I'd be down a drabble then, wouldn't I? ;)
