At the Movies
“You’re a cheap date.”
“This isn’t a date, Spike!”
“Oh, really? Dark theater. Back row. Popcorn. I think you’ll be faking a yawn, too.”
“This is not a date!”
“Are we saving the smooching until the credits, or can we just get to it?”
“Spike. We are here to kill that demon, the one with the badly-concealed horns in the front, not to make googly eyes.”
“But you bought popcorn.”
“. . . It’s a long movie. And the demon doesn’t start killing until the end.”
“Mmhm. And you coulda called me sometime towards the end.”
“. . . Popcorn?”

From the Movies
“I always thought they saved these kinds of things for the bloody movies.”
“Yeah, well. I didn’t quite plan this.”
The screams of the demon army were loud enough to deafen, but, for now, they were safe.
“So we’re gonna die and there’s something you always wanted to tell me?”
Angel smiled dumbly.
“Alright, then. Out with it, luv.”
Angel didn’t say it. Instead, he took the other vampire’s face in his hands and gently kissed him.
“Sorry to say we don’t go riding off into the sunset.”
Spike reached for Angel’s hand. “At least I finally get the guy.”

In the Movies
“That’s the last time I bloody try and help you fix your any technology associated with the telly.”
Angel didn’t react, just stood dumbly with his hands in his pockets.
“Where the bloody hell are we?”
Angel mumbled something Spike didn’t catch.
“Wha?”
Angel mumbled again.
“Angel? Where are we?”
“In the movie that got stuck!”
“Which is?”
“Pretty Woman.”
“You’re a ponce.”
“You would know.
“Oh. Mature. . . is that why you look like Richard Gere?”
“And why you look like Julia Roberts.”
Spike blinked. “I don’t want to look down, do I?”
“You have very nice legs.”
