You’ve seen what happened to those who’ve gotten too close.
So very, very accurate isn't it? Not just Buffy (and the Scoobies even with Angelus) but Wes, Cordelia, Fred's goggled-eyed crush keeping her with the gang and ending with her as Illyria. Gunn always following the damn vampire into battle. Yeah, nothing ever good happens when you love Angel even in a platonic way. :)
