Sometimes, thinking back, you wonder about how easy it seemed for Roslin to pass the responsibility for fixing the election to you.

She didn't ask questions, didn't give meaningful looks, didn't even tell you outright to do it, but you knew it was what she wanted.

At least, you were sure of that until after the count; when the Admiral came out of her office and you went back, she looked nothing short of haunted.

By what, you don't know, but --

"I'm conceding," she'd said, no other words necessary.

The look in her eyes told you not to ask.
