“It’s All Hallow’s Eve.” William stated from underneath the heap of linens he’d piled over his head. “I don’t believe in spirits coming back to haunt you. It’s silly, really.”
Angelus watched the lump curiously. “Then why are you hiding?”
“M’not.”
Angelus prodded what he presumed to be William’s side. “You’ve covered yourself up.”
“I’m dressing up as a ghost.”
“To scare away the ghosts you don’t believe in?”
“No. To scare you out of your trousers. They’ve been on far too long.” William’s hands teased around his waistband. Angelus smiled.
“I believe you’re supposed to say ‘boo.’”
William laughed.
