No More Aloft On Wings of Song

There was a time when I lived wholly in the realms of music.

I was untouched by the intrigues of the court and the allure of beautiful women. The wings of song carried me above these things, alone but never lonely. I was not merry, but I was full of joy. For even the most sorrowful song there is transcendence.

You changed all that, My Lord.

You with all your charms coaxed me down from my lofty place.

In giving me your body and taking of mine you showed me earthly pleasures.

In dying, you have taught me pain beyond transcendence.

That is so beautiful! I keep reading it over and over. I'm going to add it to my memories. I love the Tudors! Thank you for writing this. :)
