Summary: Heart still thudding inside of his own chest, and every nerve aroused so it hurts to breathe, he pads – quietly, quietly, don’t want to disturb, no – to Xander’s room, and stares. At the peacefully sleeping form, curled around himself, the blankets low enough that the claw scar in his shoulder can be seen, and Giles breathes in, out, in, out, and relaxes.
