“Damn vampire hearing,” Xander complained as he packed up the last of Anya’s clothing, his hair still dripping from his aborted shower. She was waiting impatiently, tapping her foot. He looked at her pleadingly. “Ahn, please, you know that I didn’t, I don’t…”

Anya’s glare made his voice retract and he found himself choking on his words. A snort from the barcolounger and Xander was more than angry. Anya picked up her bags and stormed out the door.

Xander turned to stare at the vampire tied to the chair. Spike shrugged. “Not my fault mate. It’s pronounced Anya, not Spike.”
