Mistake Drabble 2 - 200 Words - Visionaries, Arzon/Whitterquick
So, as far as I can tell, very few people even remember this cartoon, much less write fic for it, but oh well, just some pointless fluff anyway.
He just had to try and help her, didn’t he? It had been a mistake to jump to aid a pretty face. With the damsel in distress actually a knight in disguise, Arzon really hadn’t needed Virulina’s sarcastic comment to know he’d been a fool.
No, he understood he’d fallen for it, hook, line, and humiliating defeat. Besides, even if he hadn't understood it when Cravex twisted his arm behind his back, he certainly would have come to the conclusion on his own after sitting in the dungeon for hours.
“Let go of me!”
The words echoed down the tunnel in the wall, the same one that had dropped him unceremoniously to the stone floor on his arrival. There were the sounds of a scuffle, and then the dull sounds of a falling body before the tunnel opened and a knight hit the ground.
“Are you all right?” Arzon was at the man’s side before realizing who it was. Of course, Whitterquick, he of the fast feet and gorgeous eyes. “Here.” As he helped the other man up, he sighed. Running to the aid of another pretty face.
This might be the reason his staff was knowledge and not wisdom.

Arzon was always my favourite, too.

By the way, on reflection it might have been a bit unfriendly, coming into a slash community and beginning with "I'm not into slash". Sorry about that. It's just the NC-17 kind I avoid really, as it's frequently scary. :D
Although I suppose commenting on a three year old story helps to reduce the likelihood of offending anybody. ;)
