Opening Challenge #16 - Adornment

It's that time of the week again!

This week we're playing with adornment. It could be dressing something up. It could be that little something extra. It could be the only thing someone's wearing, or the cherry on the sundae (literally). This challenge covers hair-dos, jewellery, makeup, piercings, tattoos, wrapping yourself up in ribbon as a pressie... and much much more besides.

Adornment - something that adds beauty, decorates, embellishes or trims.

The challenge is open until 7pm EST/Midnight GMT Saturday 12th March.

Drabbles of 100 words are acceptable, as well as ficlets of 200, 300, 400 and 500 words. Cut-tags are your friends! Please mark anything applicable as NC-17 or RPS. All fandoms, m/m or f/f, welcome to play here.

Er, the fic I originally wrote for the challenge ran overlength (about 900 words), so while I DID manage to cut it down to the requisite 500 words, I really recommend reading the full version to get the whole impact.
